As part of our new project #CSCstories, we’re asking our friends and fans to share the story of their bag. When we found out that Dot from our UK PR agency named her blog after one of our classic Yellow satchels, we knew there was a story there to tell. We asked Dot to spill the beans…

“I‘d been dreaming of owning a bag from The Cambridge Satchel Company since I stumbled upon their bags online years ago. I’d been asking my parents for one (for what felt like ages!) and then one Christmas morning I opened a small envelope and inside was a gift voucher to go and pick out one of my own, I was so excited!

My mum took me to The Cambridge Satchel Company store in Covent Garden and I spent hours trying on various sizes, styles and colours – there was so much to choose from and I knew I had to get it just right. Eventually I found my beautiful 15" Classic Satchel in Yellow and as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the bag for me. As we were leaving, my mum said to me “who’s the girl with the yellow bag?”. I loved that sentiment and a little while later when I decided to start my own blog, that seemed like the perfect title.
My blog was later spotted by a PR agency who invited me to their Press Day. On the day, the director of the agency spotted my bag which sparked up a conversation. I started working there as an intern not long after that and it’s now been over two and a half years and I’m now a permanent member of the team. Last year our agency, Fabric PR, started representing The Cambridge Satchel Company which felt like a real ‘pinch me’ moment. It’s so lovely to work for a brand I’ve always been such a fan of.
The only downside to working so closely with CSC is that I see so many beautiful bags that I feel the need to keep adding to my collection. The current tally is 5 (and counting!). “
